At West One, as part of the Broker Support team, you’ll assist broker partners with enquiries, applications, registrations, and post-completion mortgage queries, managing calls and follow-ups.

Key Accountabilities
- Provide office-based support to brokers, helping maximise new business opportunities across the mortgage division.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with broker partners, as well as internal teams including underwriting, sales, and broker support.
- Handle incoming calls and emails from brokers regarding new and existing loan referrals, applications, or system queries.
- Assess complex referrals and affordability cases at an early stage, liaising with underwriting management to ensure efficient decisions.
- Review new applications to confirm they meet packaging requirements and qualifying criteria.
- Collect fees associated with mortgage applications.
- Gain and maintain a strong understanding of West One’s lending policy, criteria, and products.
- Develop expertise in our broker portal and Fusion system to support brokers with technical queries.
- Support the sales team by helping deliver training to new and existing brokers.
- Manage and respond to enquiries from mortgage intermediaries and the public via the website.
- Follow up with introducers on documentation, applications, and pipeline cases to keep them moving forward.
- Update spreadsheets, manage system data, and produce accurate reports.
- Contribute to system development, testing, and process improvements when required.

Knowledge & Personal Attributes
- Previous experience in the mortgage market, with relationship management skills, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

- Detail-oriented, highly organised, and eager to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a solutions-focused mindset.
