Telephone Business Development Executive
As a Telephone Business Development Executive at West One, you’ll drive new lending opportunities through proactive outreach, broker liaison, and sales support across the national Clubs & Networks.
A telephone based role designed to collaboratively work with the Head of Clubs & Networks in order to originate new lending opportunities from events and specific distribution relationships.
The role will provide telephone and email-based sales support, liaise with brokers on new enquiries, handle inbound sales admin requests and support the national Clubs & Networks strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Clubs & Networks to follow up leads, register new brokers and introduce distribution partners to the West One BTL and bringing offering.
- Working to support the Club & Network registration and completion targets
- Arrange meetings with C&N brokers for Field based and Telephone Based BDM’s
- Speaking to introducers and handling new business enquiries
- Adhoc support to sales regions where volumes are high
- Sales support to Head of Internal Sales – covering holiday, sales overflow and terms chasing where required
- To ensure all communications and activity is logged and up to date in CRM
- Timely and accurate production of terms from initial enquiry
- Contacting potential new brokers for introductory business
- Support the field sales team with diary management
- Supporting intermediaries through the application process to ensure a positive experience
- You will have joint responsibility for identifying, generating and managing relationships with intermediaries
- Ability to open opportunities as well as manage relationships over the medium term
- Complying with West One Loans, TCF and Responsible Lending policies
- Maintain a strong knowledge of West One Loans criteria
- Liaising with internal departments and external parties
- Attending inter-departmental meetings
Skills & Competencies
- Telesales experience preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft word and excel
- Proactive and able to work on your own initiative
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to work to deadlines
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Experience of mortgage lending / underwriting
- CeMap qualified would be advantageous but is not essential
- Some knowledge of FCA Regulation beneficial but not essential Experienced in use of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
