Short-Term Lending Operations Manager
The Short-Term Lending Operations Manager is responsible for helping, alongside the Co-Heads of Short-Term Finance, to maintain a sound operating environment for the Short-Term division.
The Short-Term Lending Operations Manager is responsible for helping, alongside the Co-Heads of Short-Term Finance, to maintain a sound operating environment for the Short-Term division which delivers the necessary operational capacity to serve the firm’s budgeted business volumes at an appropriate level of cost, and within the stated appetite for operational, legal, and credit risks.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure there are adequate resources in place to support the planned businesses origination targets and goals.
Continually review existing processes and challenge where any efficiency gains or improvements can be made to enhance/improve the loan origination journey.
Ensure all appropriate lending policies, documents and procedures are in place, easily accessible and updated in accordance with their required frequency.
Assist with any Operational Projects to their successful implementation in the system and implement any operational changes which are required.
Oversee the external and internal audit processes and relationships, delivering any changes recommended from audit points raised if required.
Ensure the business can demonstrate competency of all staff members within both departments.
Deliver the consumer duty quarterly reporting and ensure adherence to the agreed metrics.
Oversee the Compliance reporting on key risk indicators within both businesses and implement any changes as and when required.
Alongside the Credit Risk Team Leaders, plan & maintain effective operational capacity to ensure we are adequately resourced.
Identify, assess, and manage risk through appropriate controls.
Possesses the skills, knowledge, and expertise to discharge the responsibilities of their role.

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain a calm demeanour in stressful situations.
Knowledge & Qualifications
A strong understanding of FCA regulation.
Experience in the end to end journey of bridging and development finance with the ability to identify any issues and provide resolutions.
